ZTE V9 Tablet
Android tablet market is now ushering in a new comer, ZTC, who announced a ZTC Light V9 android-based tablet. When it comes to new tablets, I would always expect some tablet manufacturers, especially some major companies, shall innovate some unique features of tablets, even though just slight improvement or alteration. But to my disappointment, I could not find much that attracted my attention. These common applications, Android 2.1, Wifi, GPS, camera and bluetooth, simply do not enable ZTC V9 to stand out among the miscellaneous android tablets. Is it because that it become harder and harder for tablet designers to come up with new applications on tablets? A bottle-neck for android tablets?
As a device between smart phone and notebook, people hope that tablet is a fabulous combination of the two. Ideally, tablets are supposed to be a potential replacement of notebook, or better ones. It is always easier said than done. There is still a long way to go before android tablets elevate a new level.
The price and availability of this tablet have not been released. Low price is the tendency. The basic specifications suggest that ZTC V9 won’t be pricy and will be much affordable than Samsung Galaxy S. If possible, ZTC V9 tablets might be cheaper than cherry pad America android tablets. Though ZTC V9 might not be a much eye-catching tablet, it might be a not bad try for ZTC who is originally a major telecommunication equipment and handsets maker.
But I really cannot help deploring: can’t such a major company shoot a fine picture or hire a better photoshop artist? The distorted picture dashes any my intention to take a second look. Don’t belittle the importance of a picture! It is the first impression that will leave on the customers.

Really lousy and clumsy picture, seem rather silly. Surely, the picture for the android tablet really did a very good job to scare those targeted customers away. How can it be compared with those fine tablets with these simple applications? Ipad and Samsung galaxy have a unimportant competitor to laugh at. Maybe it can be viewed as a match of cherry pad America android tablet.
ZTE intends to join the army of android tablets? Every one seem want to swarm into tablet market, making the competition even fierce. ZTE V9 light android tablet seem have a lot of space to make improvement. Maybe a not too bad beginning. No one wants to be left behind and sees others thriving prosperously.
I don’t like the picture, too. It looks rather weird.
Android 2.1 tablets, compared with android 2.2 tablets with flash support will no longer hold the attention of the customers.
This is only an announcement,no release of price and availability.
I am a little worried whether they will have customers when it has already lagged behind.
There is no possibility that ZTE V9 android tablet will make a sensation.
This android tablet is so ordinary and hardly anything can impress you.
People would rather rush to buy android 2.2 tablets with flash support.
Bluetooth is a feature I’d like to see on tablet, since bluetooth device is much more convenient than some wire connectivity devices. For the android tablet, it would be better if those connectivity ports are wireless. And we have to admit that the wireless devices will become dominant.
ZTC annouce its tablet? Awesome, a big step forward. They have more types of devices to make and sell. I believe that they can make good tablets, because their handsets are not bad. They are going to enter into the tablets market. ZTE V9 looks good, but the competition is fierce, and there are already many remarkable tablets.
zte simply annouced this tablet, no price or availability and nowhere to buy this possibly cheap android 2.1 tablet. Since there are so many good and cheap android tablets to choose from, I wonder whether there will have guys to buy such not good android tablet pc. Maybe people have to wati for a long time before the customers really have a place to see and buy this tablets.
I think this zte v9 is ok, why so many people do not like it? Now it’s only the problem: the exact price and definitely shipping date. May it’s early day of next year. Android 2.1 is fine, though needs to upgrade to android 2.2. So the price would be an advantage. Many people assume that it would be not expensive. Actually zte v9 can be compared with Huawei s7, but remember huawei s7 is not cheap, pricing at $299.99, not competitive enough. Hope zte will be cheaper.
Hey guys. I have one…Very good, very responsive. GPS (true and A-GPS), Bluetooth,Wi-fi,3G (data and phone)…For 239 euros from Vodafone Portugal…very good deal.
Ah..and also 3400 mha battery, giving it a 7 hours video play.
A co-worker just bought an Optus prepaid ZTE V9 for AUD $279 and I just this minute had a play with it. It was really quite snappy and the screen was very responsive for a resistive screen. I had no trouble with it in that respect. The screen was nice and clear – very readable text. Would be great as an eBook reader.
It seems that ZTE V9 is not so bad. Next time they had better make a fine picture and do not the awful picture to ruin their tablet.
ZTE V9 is the third device for use to access the internet except smart phones and laptops. Because the lighter, more comprehensive, more open, ZTE V9 Tablet PC can create more possible.
does anyone know howwhenif you can upgrade a ZTE V9 to android 2.2?
Before bitching about device it would be good if author actually TRY it. I’ve got mine under 105 Euro with no contract and easily updated to CM 7.1. Great tablet. I and it is my 5th direct Android device experience. It is very much like ZTE Blade with 7″ screen – multitouch (not a big fun of it anyway). More then happy.
