Velocity Micro android 2.1 7'' Cruz Tablet
When I see the specs and price of Velocity Micro 7’’ Cruz tablet, I find that it is not satisfactory enough, but seems not disappointing totally, some kind of in the middle among various tablet pcs. If it ran android 2.2 instead of android 2.0, it would be more acceptable. Besides, there is no promise of upgrading to android 2.2 in the near future. Though Cruz reader offers a very normal definition, 800 x 480, it is able to have a capacitive touch screen. You know how much the customers like capacitive touchscreen and dread resistive screen. No camera. So if you want to take pictures or do video chatting, then save it. Not totally a bad thing, right? If the resolution is so bad and picture effect is disappointing, then I would rather there is no camera at all, avoiding any possible disappointment. But somehow you may say that better than none. Ok, not all things are better than none, and it depends. Of course, it has what a tablet pc should have, say Wifi, speaker, headphone jack, mini USB. No embedded 3G. That’s normal. Few android tablets can do that.
What really rouses my attention is that the 10 hours battery life of use. A really long time, indeed! I cannot remember how many times I have mentioned the importance of long battery life. But we are not sure what “use” means here, mostly possibly playing music or probably video (a little unlikely), after all you cannot expect it to play flash since Cruz tablet does not support that . So if you cannot accept an non-android 2.2 tablet, then I suppose you will not consider to buy it. At any rate, there are so many android 2.2 tablets to choose from. So based on the above, will you like Velocity Micro 7’’ Cruz Tablet or not?
