Rockchip 2818 7’’ android tablethas finally come out. When I caught it at the first sight and then touch it, I assume this android 2.1 tablet is a little different from other android tablets in my hand, kind of intuition. OK, let’s see the specs first. This tablet is powered by ARM 800MHz+DSP500MHz and runs Android 2.1. It lands 7’’ display with 800*480, 256 ROM and 2GB to 8GB flash memory, with support for various formats of e-books. The ports include TF card slot, HDMI output, mini USB, USB host, charger plughole. The battery is not bad, with inbuilt 4000 MAh/3.7v Li battery.
The specs look rather ordinary and may not rouse your interest at all. That’s natural. After having reviewed this tablet for half an hour, I find it attractive enough. First of all, the touch screen experience. Indeed, the resistive touch screen may draw you away, but the touch screen of this tablet pc is definitely more sensitive than the common resistive screens. It can respond quickly when receiving gentle pressing on the screen. That really counts. I know how many people are frustrated a lot by the disappointing resistive touchscreen experience. More often than not, you have to press hard if you want it to give you any response.
Then the powerful e-book reader function. I download various formats of e-books, Chinese or English, on the interest to test whether this android tablet can work fine. The e-book app on this tablet does not disappoint me.It supports TXT, LRC, PDF, HTML, EPUB and etc. Thirdly, what amazes me is the USB. Once you connect this tablet with you PC, it can install on your PC without fail without any drive at all, as easy as you connect a MP4 player with a notebook. You do not have to swipe down the status bar and press the button “turn on the USB” or anything else. I like this much and wish reduce everything to the easiest extent. See how lazy I am! Customers who are bothered by USB can have a good look at this tablet.
Yes, it can. You can enter the android market and download the apps you like, Oh, make sure you have registered a google account. Of course, google account registraion is easy and free.
Thanks for your informative review. I’ve been wanting to purchase an Android tablet, but keep waiting for a decent one. This seems like it would be worth purchasing. Where did you find it for $136?
It gives me a sense of delusion when I hold this 5 inch android 2.1 tablet in hand. You know what produce this effect on me: the size and the android OS version. A 5 incher, though utterly portable, may not cater to the demand of mainstream customers when most smartphones are already bestowed with...
ZTE Style S, unrelated to the heated words regarding smartphone like glass- free 3D or 4G LTE on CTIA, may easily be eclipsed by LG Optimus 3D or Optimus 4G and is apt to escape your attention. Though unnoticeable enough, ZTE Style S does not intend to disappoint us. After all, ZTE has little attention...
We are well aware that how proudly Windows operating system sweeps across the world of desktops, laptop PCs and netbooks, and also know how triumphantly Android permeates to the innards of miscellaneous tablet PCs. Tablet PCs based on VIA 8505 or VIA 8650, generally speaking, impress me with low version of android operation system, most with android 1.6.
