7 Inch Freescale Android 2.2 Tablet
Following the step of android 2.2 Freescale 8’’ resistive tablet and 9.7’’ capacitive multi touchscreen tablet, the 7’’ Freescale android 2.2 tablet comes out naturally. Much similar as its Freescale iMX515 siblings, this 7’’ tablet is packed with 800MHz processor, android 2.2 with flash support, 512MB of RAM, resistive touchscreen with 800*480 resolution and most important of all, with internal 3G module.
On the right side of the front, there are three slim buttons, for Back, Menu and Home, on top of which there is also a camera and a microphone. Unlike many other iPad knockoffs or android tablets whose ports are concentrated on the right flank, the ports of this tablet are scattered around the tablet. On the right bottom part, there is a DC jack, a microSD card slot parallel with a SIM card slot, and a mini USB, no USB Host. The tablet weighs only 372g but appears a little thick due to internal 3G module. Power button and audio output are on the top. Reset hole is on the back, which is rarely seen.
Comprehensively speaking, the 7 inch Freescale android tablet has improved quite a lot in many respects. But what might be the most appealing part is internal 3G module, absent from 8’’ and 9.7’’ android 2.2 tablets. You might think that it would be perfect if it is capacitive touchscreen. But the resistive touch screen is sensitive enough and you will not feel disappointed.
