Having reviewing so many android tablets mostly in black color, this white-colored android 2.2 tablet looks rather weird at first sight. But it looks fine after several minutes later. Of course, black ones look more common. The tablet is packed with Samsung S5PV210 chipsets, android 2.2, 8 inch resistive touch screen, 512M DDR2 of RAM, an internal 1.3 MP camera, a 2600 mAh Li-polymer battery. The ports include a USB host, a mini USB, a HDMI, a microSD card slot, a headphone jack, a DV charger plughole.

Though with resistive touchscreen, this tablet has a really very good touch screen performance, obviously much better than many other android tablets. It responds sensitively with finger tapping. It is good to see the resistive touchscreen better and better. There is also a stylus (on the lower left corner of the tablet) ready to help.

Since it is an android 2.2 tablet with flash support, I focus on its online video performance. I set the Wifi and choose an online video viewing website. Much within expectation, the online flash play is very smooth with good picture and sound quality. But when you play the online flash, you can sense the subtle quiver of the back shell.

What rivets my attention is the app “Genial Writing” on the apps menu. It can capture the handwriting, bringing you a lot fun in writing blogs and keeping diaries. When it comes to this app, a stylus is a must. Much different from other writing experience, the pleasure with writing on this tablet lies more in how to write than in what you write. You can watch the video to see how it works after the break.

I really had a hard time when I was trying to connect the USB between the tablet pc and my PC and intended to transfer some pictures, audio and video files to the Samsung chipsets tablet. I used my own USB cable, since I could not find one proper in the original box. I tried it on different PCs, but still could not get the USB connected. Then I inserted a microSD card into the tablet and plugged it with my PC. This did work! There was a USB icon appearing on the status bar. I swiped it down and tapped the words “USB connected”. Then I could see the green android logo and two choices “connect external SD card” and “connect internal HD disk”. I chose the latter since I meant to transfer those files to the tablet instead of on the microSD card.

It takes much shorter time to start the tablet in comparison with other tablets with different chipsets. There are really so many apps preinstalled, and it takes two pages to house them. So don’t forget to swipe to the next page since some important apps are on the next page. The battery seems very sound and have quite several hours of working time.
