Asus combined with China Mobile, Chipsets Manufacturer Marvell held a “Win-win—Asus TD Smartphones and Strategic Conference” today in Beijing. This is the first time that Asus unveiled TD-SCD smartphones, two of which run OPhone operating system and moreover, it is also the first time that TD-SCDMA single chip is used on smartphones. Apart from 4 TD smartphones, Asus also announced a TD-LTE phone and a TD tablet PC, which clearly demonstrates Asus’s support for TD-SCDMA network.
Asus showed off altogether five TD-SCDMA smartphones besides a TD smartphone: T10, T20, T25, and T60, among which T10 and T20 will hit the market first and are powered by Marvell PXA 920, which will bring down cost on chipsets significantly and also lead to thinner and more efficient phones.
Asus T10 comes first and aims at young users. It has a 3.2-inch HVGA TFT resistive touchscreen, a 5MP auto-focus camera, OPhone 2.0 as OS, a 806MHz Marvelll PXA920 processor, 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, AGPS, wifi and 30 hours of audio playback.
Asus T20 stores a 3.2-inch TFT HVGA LCD capacitive touchscreen, a 5MP EDOF and VGA front-facing camera, integrated GPS, CMMB TV module, OPhone 2.0 or above as OS, a a 806MHz Marvelll PXA920 processor, 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, a 1500 mAh battery.
Asus T25 comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA display, with support of TD-SCDMA 3G network, a 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash, also so powered by a 806MHz Marvelll PXA920 processor and running OPhone 2.0 OS and above.
Much bigger size falls on Asus T60, an android smartphone, which has a 4-inch WVGA display, a 8MP auto-focus camera with LED flash. It runs Android Froyo and has a 1GHz processor, also with support of TD-SCDMA network.
Little details were leaked on the LTE smartphone and TD tablet, so we have to wait a little.

It seems that Asus is going to play big on 3G network in mainland and move forward to a all-around manufacturer of Asus laptop, smartphone and tablet PC.
