Dropad A8 Samsung PV 210 Android 2.2 7-Inch Capacitive Multitouch Tablet PC Review
It develops an engraved conception that we can hardly expect awesome features from a low-end android tablet PC except low price. That suits our logics pretty well. Things with sound quality and affordable price, they are poetic enough but desperately few. So when I lay my hand on this Dropad A8 android 2.2 tablet, negative presumptions flood in my mind before I even get it reviewed. Well, I have to admit that sometimes you wrong something without reason and vice versa.
There is need to offer some brief introduction to this Samsung PV 210 capacitive tablet before I proceed to my review. No exact name is labeled on this 7-inch tablet, and Dropad A8 is probably the one. Dropad A8 comes with impressive specs, it seems to me. It is packed with SamsungS5PV210 1GB ARM Cortex-A8 processor, android 2.2, 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display with 800*480 resolution, 512MB of DDR2, 4GB of Nand flash with microSD card expansion up to 32GB, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, built-in Wifi, 1080p HDMI output, a battery of 3000mAh, with support of 3G network of WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/CDMA2000.
From perspective of design, it looks like a larger version of iPhone 4. When I hold it in hand, it gives me a sense of substantiality in depth and weight. The round button in the front, not like other tablet PC, is for Home instead of Back. The Back button is on the top, and I am not so used to it that it brings me to Home screen now and then though I just want to back to the previous operation. The camera is conspicuously placed in the middle top in the front, a white round line marking it out. The ports in the right side include a microSD card slot, a HDMI output, two mini USB, a power switch, a 3.5mm earphone jack, a DC plughole. Power, Menu and Back buttons are on the top.
Due to its potent processor, it doesn’t take long to get the tablet started. I set Wifi and browse some webpages, and it performs quite smoothly. Since it is an android 2.2 tablet, I test the flash with sort of critical attitude. To my surprise, its online video playback is easy to go, and delicate colors and clear picture quality impress me a lot. I intend to get rather exasperated when I test the online flash of some android 2.2 tablets. Dropad a8 definitely saves me from the entire disappointment of a multitude of tablets PCs.
3G dongle is also easy to handle, and no complicated steps are involved.
There is a built-in android apps store in the tablet, and miscellaneous apps and games are easy to download and use.
G-sensors games are also very attracting.
On the whole, Dropad a8 will satisfy most of our expectations from an android tablet. It has great potentiality to turn to a high-end tablet PC if some proper improvement is enhanced. Get rid of our stereotypical preconception and learn to appreciate.

It seems that Dropad A8X bears much connection with Dropad A8 just as what their similar monikers demonstrate. Indeed, Dropad A8X comes with specs almost the same as Dropad A8 with the only difference which lies in processor. It needs some tremendous work to bring impressive games performance on an android tablet due to the requirement of a potent processor, good graphics, sensitive G-sensor and touchscreen. It is really meritorious for Dropad A8 to get upgraded to android 2.3 within a relatively short time span since Dropad A8 didn’t hit the market until two months ago. There is no other big differentiation between these two versions of Dropad A8 except the upgrade from android 2.2 to android 2.3. Of course, the...
Though it makes more sense to revamp the innards substantially for a new version of tablet PC, an elevation in design or other respects will also add glamour in some way. While we are saturated by those tablet PCs mostly packed with displays of 800*480 in resolution, it is so justifiable for Sinor M8 to flaunt its 1024*768 screen, common among those expensive and high-end slates but quite rare among affordable tablet PCs. Sinor M8 seems very likely the successor of Sinor M5 thought with different...

What is the audio quality like thru the headphones out from the device? Is’t the same low quality like the MID816 aka Herotab M816? Or is’t as comparable to the iPhone/iPods(all models) or a standard desktop/laptop audio? Much appreciate it, as I’d bought the MID816 & the audio is very loose & the sound is much to be desire. Thank u!
I think this tablet performs well in terms of audio or video playback no matter whether you wear the headphone. If you concerns whether there is noise out when you are in headphone mode, then I will tell you Nope.
Resolution on this tablet is 800×480, NOT 1028×800 as you specify. Also, CPU is 1.0 GHz, NOT 1.2 GB (GB? WTF?).
If you write for geeks, get your specs right. This makes me wonder what else is incorrect in your review.
Thanks very much for your correction! I’ll take it.
I bought this nicely product, thanks for share this review!
So other question, any suggestion to read pdf and office suits?
Cheers
