As for major features, Haipad M708 surely reminds me of Dropad A8. Things become similar just because they are moving close to worse or better criteria. When it comes to tablet PCs, we are quite clear what those criteria are: the more potent, the better.

All in all, Haipad M708 shares many similarities with Dropad A8 that I reviewed shortly before. Based on a 1 GHz Telechips Cortex A8 TCC8803 CPU, Haipad also come with android 2.2, 7-inch capacitive touch panel with 1024*768 resolution, 512MB of DDR 2, 4GB of internal storage with microSD card expansion up to 32GB, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, Wifi and 3G as network connection, with support of G-sensor and HDMI output.

The design of Haipad seems a little unique, circled by two sorts of different materials of bezels. So the frame looks a little broader than necessary. A round silver button is on the right, with the camera above it. Ports and button as conventions on the right side include a power button, a DC plughole, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm earphone jack, a HDMI output, a miniUSB.

The reset button will definitely differentiate it from other tablets. It is not longer submerged to a suck-in tiny hole on some side of the tablet, but a small round button placed conspicuously in the back. Menu and Home buttons are on the top.

The screen is clear and nice to touch and watch. Apps, not so many but quite useful, are neatly arrayed. Two popular games, Angry and Fruit Ninja, are preinstalled.

A very useful app might be Documents to Go. Here, you can view PDF files and also edit Word, Excel, and PPT files. So for those who need to work their various files on the tablet, Haipad might be a very good choice.

It offers access to not only to android market but also another apps store. As for online flash playback, it is Ok but not as good as what I assume it could be. Dropad A8 has a better performance in video and online playback than Haipad. We have to admit that CPU counts if excellent video playback capability is expected.

Haipad M807, wholly speaking, is a very stable tablet and improves a lot than tablets with TCC8902 chipsets, but we are looking forward that it will have a good performance in 3D graphics, a major feature that future tablet PCs will work on.
