Sony Vaio Tablet and Laptop
Strike while the iron is hot. The hot “irons” here, Sony’s two newly-launched android 3.0 tablets codenamed respectively as Sony S1 and S2, are followed closely by even fresh ones, “Freestyle Hybrid PC” tablet and “Ultimate Mobile PC” readily pigeonholed in Sony Vaio laptop series.
The “Hybrid” demonstrates explicitly that like Asus Eeepad Transformer this device will be a good combination of both tablet PC and laptop. This freestyle tablet PC is purported to feature a 9.4 inch display and a slide-out slim keyboard without trackpad. The possible pricetag $799, over twice the price of Asus Transformer, seems not attractive enough from the perspective of tablet PC, but makes sense when it comes to a portable and slim laptop.
There is little word on the “Ultimate Mobile PC” except that it probably comes with a slim design, USB 3.0 and HDMI. Eh, Sony, take it easy, Vaio laptops are just too impressive to get out of mind.
