htc flyer android 2.3 tablet
Braving the harsh competition with dominating iPad 2, hot Asus EeePad Transformer and Acer Iconia W500, HTC Flyer, as the first attempt of this smartphone manufacture in tablet PC market, will hit Taiwan officially tomorrow. Flyer, a codename fully carrying HTC’s good expectation, is anticipated to soar up to the sky in sales. It is estimated that 1.5 million units of HTC Flyer will be shipped during this year and possibly earn HTC a substantial revenue of 3 billion Taiwan dollars.
HTC Flyer comes with a portable size of 7 inch, android Gingerbread instead of Honeycomb as OS, a fast 1.5GHz single-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of flash storage, 1024*600 as the screen resolution, a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. Flyer also has a special pressure-sensitive stylus for those who like inking, and this will be a feature to differentiate it from other tablets. Apparently, HTC Flyer aims at different groups of customers with large-sized iPad 2 and Asus TF101 which can be “transformed” to a laptop with a special docking keyboard.
