ramos w12 android 2.3 tablet
The feature of video conferencing has been the long-awaited expectation of android tablet users, who hope that the front-facing camera is not just a negligible ornament but means something. Now Ramos’s strategic partnership with wireless development division of Tencent has brought this into reality and the first fruit they jointly generate is to enable Ramos W12, an android 2.3 tablet, to do video chat.
The 8 inch Ramos W12 is powered by Rockchip 2918 processor, which somehow corresponds an unnamed RK2918-based tablet capable of QQ video chat spotted on the Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2011. But the looks of the two render this presumption impossible. Ramos W12 takes a unique design with curved lines on two sides. Apart from android 2.3 and RK2918 chipset, W12 also brings us an 8-inch capacitive multitouch display with resolution of 800*600, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of flash memory capacity, dual cameras.
It requires very simple steps to bring video chat with two Ramos W12 tablets. First of all, there is need to install QQ app on the tablets. Under the Friend interface, two extra function icons can be found, for photo shots and video chat. Click the proper icon for video chat invitation, and the one on the other end would see options to accept or refuse. Once accepted, then the two are able to chat with each other just like what they do on PCs.
Well, we would feel more content to see more chat tools land on android tablets and enable video chat.
