It is all within our expectation to see an iPad 2 clone pop out now that the hot selling of iPad 2 is in full swing. ED E88 is such an android tablet PC as draws our attention mainly due to its exact sameness with iPad 2 in appearance, and iPad 2 copy might be the proper word to define it. Of course, ED 88 also differs with iPad 2 in detail for some obvious reasons.
No definite specs for ED E88 are available. Most presumably, ED E88 is packed with an 800MHz VIA8650 processor, sort of a prevailing choice for most low-end tablet PCs. It may also store 256MB of RAM, 2GB of storage, a 9.7 resistive two-finger touchscreen with resolution of 1024*768, unspecified dual cameras. Indeed, the innards are not attractive at all. But considering the price, you can obtain it from the market with only about 800 yuan ($ 125).
On the back, ED E88 sans logo still gives us the same feel with iPad 2 but with difference in layout of speakers and earphone jack.
Needless to say, the front of E88 looks alike iPad 2 and this also applies in many other tablet PCs: the most common round black button and a front-facing camera though placed differently.
Surely, the UI is totally different since it is a typical android-based tablet.

ED E88 may meet the demand for those who are looking for a highly affordable iPad clone, but for most folks they anticipate more an iPad 2 clone with better internal performance.
