Jinghua JWD WR-001 Wireless Pocket Router
If you travel around often and carry your notebook or tablet PC along, you will find it upset that you are denied access to Internet when there is wire network available but no WiFi signals. In this case, you may need JWD WR-001 to use it as a wireless router, turning the wire network into a WiFi hotspot. And if you stay somewhere with WiFi signals but your device happens not to support Wifi directly, then Jinghua JWD WR-001 is also able to help.
So how does this mini gadget work? We can take a look at its design first. This white cuboid, first of all, is light and portable enough, with 30g in weight and 9.0 x 2.7 x 1.6 cm as dimension. In the front, there are two tiny indication light and the logo of JWD. JWD WR-001 is ended with a Ethernet port in the right side and a folded USB on the opposite. AP/Wifi switch stands on the top while there are some ventilation ports on the back. You can also see a Reset hole in the bottom.
When JWD WR-001 is used as a Wireless Pocket Router, you only need to plug the RJ 45 into the Ethernet port and then a WiFi hotspot is created. Tap in the set password given in the users’ guide, and your device will be able to be connected. JWD WR-001 is able to deliver 802.11n/b/g WiFi signals and works with a distance range up to 10m. The second function seems not so important in the eyes of the manufacturer and Jinghua will remove this in the next-gen JWD WR-001. So there is little point to elaborate on how the second function works.
