lenovo ideapad p1 and ideapad k1
Recent days may mark Lenovo’s major foray into tablet PC market, and this ambitious firm has introduced three tablet PCs in consecution including newly-leaked ThinkPad Tablet for professionals as well as IdeaPad K1 for common users and Windows-based IdeaPad P1 for family or office use. Well, the similar appearance of IdeaPad P1 and IdeaPad K1 with its brethren, LePad, may explain why these two siblings are revealed together.
The Windows 7-powered IdeaPad P1 features a 10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen with resolution of 1280*800, a 1.5GHz Intel Atom Oak Trail processor, 2GB of RAM DDR 2, 64GB of SDD, a 2MP front-facing camera, sporting 3G, Wifi and various ports like USB 2.0, microSD card slot, mini-Pcie. The price for IdeaPad P1 is still unknown and supposed to hit the market at the end of this year. Things go much clear for IdeaPad K1 if you have a smattering knowledge of LePad. Briefly speaking, IdeaPad K1 is an enhanced version of LePad by replacing the 1.3GHz Snapdragon 8650A of LePad with a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, upgrading the OS to Android 3.1 and adding a 5MP rear camera, other things remaining the same. IdeaPad K1 will hit the market a week later with Wifi-only model pricing $499, a pricetag so familiar and…reluctant.
