Nokia Sun

As what Nokia said before that more windows phone is on schedule this year, this Nokia Sun’apperance on Orange’s leaked line-up sheet as what the vague screengrab shows above don’t give me much surprise and shock . It’s getting increasingly difficult to pin down exactly how many Nokia Windows Phones we can expect to see this year. Nokia Sun features a 3.7″ AMOLED screen, 8 megapixel rear camera, 16GB internal storage, polycarbonate shell and a 1.4GHz processor. No pricing information has been revealed yet, but with Nokia World set to kick off in a few weeks, we do not have to wait too long for an answer.

LG Jil Sander WP handset

Another Mango phone from LG is on the way, know as LG Jil Sander. Maybe similar with Optimus 7 (aka LG E900) on the appearance at first sight, but LG Jil Sander is handier and lighter. Other specs are practically identical to the Optimus 7, with a 3.8-inch, 480×800-pixel screen, and a 5-megapixel camera capable of 720p video. The specification about CPU and price still can not be known yet. LG get a high profit on Optimus, that’s may be the reason for this similar LG Jil Sander. But I really can not understand why venders want to put forward two similar smartphone without any obvious differences.

phone ZTE Tania

ZTE Tania phone

Gadgetsbing still focus on PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2011 and maybe there in the next few days, but today’s master is ZTE, China’s largest listed telecom equipment company. ZTE’s joined the allied Windows Phone 7.5 ranks by outing its Tania phone at PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2011. Maybe it is little late to have its own Mango handset, but I think customers will not care about that for ZTE are focused on mass market with lower price points and the price for Tania will be not high that most people can afford it. The modestly specced 4.3-inch device runs Microsoft’s latest OS atop a single-core 1GHz processor, with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage and a 5 megapixel rear … Continue

Hydra Nokia 900

Nokia 900 Hydra

Not surprisingly, iphone and android are big winners in smartphone market and Symbian  will losing its status gradually if no up- buttom changes made. The marriage of Microsoft and Nokia not just tells us a story of tiding over difficulties together in a harsh time but most importantly allows us to see what Nokia-branded Windows phones will look like. A video popping on Internet may quell our immense curiosity. Dubbed as Sea Ray, this first Nokia WP7 seems bring less surprises than expected. Taken as a whole, Sea Ray looks like its Meego-powered cousin, Nokia N9, in appearance though with some differences in detail. Apart from the buttons for volume, power and shutter on the sides, there are also three touch keys for Back, Win and Search below the screen. On the back is a camera with LED flash.

nokia n950

nokia n950

Chances are that quite a lot of us have ample curiosity about the mysterious phone that Nokia’s CEO, Stephen Elop, took out when he was interviewed by Wall Street Journal last week. Little is known about new device except the rumor that this Meego-based phone, possibly named as Nokia N950, might be announced at Nokia Connection Conference 2011, later this month. Now the leaked pictures offer us a better chance to take a good gander at this new thing.

Nokia N950 appears rather slender at every sight. Like Nokia E7, N950 will also have AMOLED touchscreen, but the screen resolution of 854*480 seems not so suitable for the N950′s unique ratio. Nokia N950 is reported to be powered … Continue

Dell Venue Pro

The inundation of a whopping spectacular and eyebrow-catching tablet PCs does not demonstrate the panorama of Computex 2011, and those featured smartphones brought out by various manufactures are also worth attention. Though confronted with the fierce competition of Apple and Google, Microsoft is still able to bring Windows Phone 7 to the smartphones of quite a few top brands. Some salient Windows Phone 7 with various designs and features, like Dell Venue Pro, … Continue

Nokia and Microsoft’s Conceptual Windows Phone 7: Eagle not Turkey

Nokia and Micorsoft WP7

Nokia's Windows Phone 7

It would be a slap on the face for the two relevant parties to describe the partnership between Microsoft and Nokia as the joint of two turkeys, which “won’t make an eagle”. Turkey or eagle, it is still early to tell the final outcome. But the impressive conceptual phones which were worked out by these two major companies and came out shortly after the announcement of the alliance prompt us to believe that one plus one will make more than two.

Though Nokia claims that they will not give up Symbian and Meego, it is apparent that Nokia will concentrate its main focus on Windows Phone 7. And the conceptual devices readily show us what an … Continue
