5 inch telechips tcc8902 tablet

It gives me a  sense of delusion when I hold this 5 inch android 2.1 tablet in hand. You know what produce this effect on me: the size and the android OS version. A 5 incher, though utterly portable, may not cater to the demand of mainstream customers when most smartphones are already bestowed with a 4.3 inch touch panel and even a 7 inch tablet PC is barely satisfy some group of users who accentuate the video performance on a larger-sized screen. Android Eclair, thought not yet reaching the extent of being obsolete, is rarely brought on tablet PC at a time when android Froyo and Gingerbread are so prevailing.

Integrated 3G Android Tablet Wiipad Hit the Market

Wiipad 3G Android Tablet

What might be the best way to get a portable mobile device, like android tablet, connected with Internet? Yes, Wifi is good enough, but it is restricted to a very limited range. Only 3G can provide an Internet service unencumbered by space. Not every tablet PC comes with integrated 3G, so we still worship it much if the configuration is not so disappointing. If I am going to use a word to describe the specs of Wiipad, common might be the proper one, as common as the most ordinary android tablets we’ve seen.

How common is this tablet PC with internal 3G module? It stores TCC 8902 processor, android 2.1, 256MB of RAM, 4GB … Continue

Black Rockchip2818 Android 2.1 Tablet PC

It would be more normal if I review this 7 inch Rockchip 2818 Android 2.1 tablet (silver back color) first instead of the same type of android 2.1 Rockchip 2818 tablet pc (black back color) several days ago, since it is designed out earlier but comes out late. To differentiate these two tablets, I will refer to the Rockchip 2818 I review today as Black Rockchip 2818, and the Rockchip 2818 tablet pc I’ve reviewed as Silver. Of course, the two have much in common: both powered by Rockchip2818, running Android 2.1, displaying 7 inch screens and preinstalled many similar apps.  However, the bezels are a little different. As for Black Rockchip 2818 tablet … Continue

Easy to Manage the Apps on 7 Inch Rockchip 2818 Android 2.1 Tablet PC

7'' Rockchip android 2.1 tablet

It’s endearing than hilarious when I see two apps, typical of Chinese style, on the app menu of the 7 Inch Rockchip 2818 Android 2.1 Tablet. Mobile QQ comes the first. Just like people in America and European countries use MSN as the common chatting tool, the vast majority of Chinese use QQ. It is no exaggeration to say that the first thing for most Chinese netizens to do, when they turn on their PCs or laptops, is to log in QQ, a matter of habit now.

The second might be the poker game, Tractor. When it comes to card game, you might prefer Bridge, which is quite popular in many areas. Some … Continue

rochship 2818 7'' android 2.1 tablet

Rockchip 2818 7’’ android tablet has finally come out. When I caught it at the first sight and then touch it, I assume this android 2.1 tablet is a little different from other android tablets in my hand, kind of intuition. OK, let’s see the specs first. This tablet is powered by ARM 800MHz+DSP500MHz and runs Android 2.1. It lands 7’’ display with 800*480, 256 ROM and 2GB to 8GB flash memory, with support for various formats of e-books. The ports include TF card slot, HDMI output, mini USB, USB host, charger plughole. The battery is not bad, with inbuilt 4000 MAh/3.7v Li battery.

The specs look rather ordinary and may not rouse … Continue

NEC Life Touch Android 2.1 Tablet PC Comes with Touchscreen Plus Buttons

NEC life touch android 2.1 tablet

Is it really an android-based tablet? Not really like but it is. NEC Life Touch Tablet runs Android 2.1. I suppose there would be more and more android 2.2 tablets but it seems that the android tablets released recently most run android 2.1, like Sylvania Android Tablet. It seems that this Life Touch Tablet resembles more like an e-reader for reading e-books or watching comics, say Energy Sistem Color Book e-reader. I assume that few android tablets will have several front-facing buttons next to the touchscreen, but NEC Life Touch has. Can’t the touch screen do all the actions or are those buttons are ready to do more? Hope they are not superfluous. … Continue

Huawei Ideos S7 VS Walgreen Maylong M-105: Still Two Android Tablets

Posted by lion on October 28, 2010 in android tablets with 4 Comments

android 2.1 tablet

Huawei Ideos S7

I cannot specify why I draw a contrast between Huawei Ideos S7 and Walgreen Maylong M-150. Possibly, it isbecause they hit the tablet market at the same period of time. One belongs to the sort of medium price with common medium features, like Huawei Ideos S7 and ZTE V9 while the other has low price but mediocre features, such as Walgreen Maylong M-150 and Cherrypad America tablet. Of course, the yardsticks are those noted and expensive tablets, such as Advent Vega iPad and Samsung Galaxy. At any rate, tablet market is now boisterous with the competition clamor of various tablet pcs. The following is the contrast of specs between the two, Huawei S7and Maylong.

Top Five Features You Want Your Android Tablet Have

android 2.1 thin 10'' tablet

Tablets are various, and people’s preference for the features of tablets is even various. Still, there are common features that we want an android tablet have.

A long battery life comes first. You may not see eye to eye with me. Well, why should I rank battery life first? Tablet is a mobile internet device and is supposed to offer people the internet and other important services when people are outside and live an on-going life. A short battery only frustrates and disparages the customers. The worst part is that they would not have trust in tablet any more, considering that notebooks and smartphones can do better. So next time,  do not mock … Continue

ZTE V9 Tablet Emerges Out: Another Android Tablet

android 2.1 tablet

ZTE V9 Tablet

Android tablet market is now ushering in a new comer, ZTC, who announced a ZTC Light V9 android-based tablet. When it comes to new tablets, I would always expect some tablet manufacturers, especially some major companies, shall innovate some unique features of tablets, even though just slight improvement or alteration. But to my disappointment, I could not find much that attracted my attention. These common applications, Android 2.1, Wifi, GPS, camera and bluetooth, simply do not enable ZTC V9 to stand out among the miscellaneous android tablets. Is it because that it become harder and harder for tablet designers to come up with new applications on tablets? A bottle-neck for android tablets?
