This android tablet looks rather common and inconspicuous at the first sight. That why I ignored it for a long time without looking at it. Today, I happen to need one tablet for testing Android video chat, and pick it up by the way. After turning it on, the quick and accurate response really surprises me and I cannot help sharing it with all of you.

Unlike most other 7-inch tablets, Haipad M7 has four touch keys instead of physical buttons in the front, for the use of Back, Search, Menu and Home respectively. Well, as you can see, the tendency for the tablet PCs in the future is that the real buttons will eventually replaced by … Continue

The very mentioning of Haier Group would probably remind you of nothing other than a raft of home appliances Haier folks bring out. Well, the debut of HaiPad, announced on an electronics fair held in Qingdao, Shandong Province of China, where this large-scaled firm’s headquarters is based, readily tells us that the product lists of Haier Group has included one more important item ever since. See, how immense the appeal of tablet PC market to those related enterprises!

For this initial attempt, Haier sets HaiPad a 7-inch size to eschew the competition of 10-inch super tablets already abounding  in the market, like iPad 2 or Samsung Galaxy Tab. HaiPad features a 1GHz Samsung processor, Tapas OS (based on … Continue

Though it makes more sense to revamp the innards substantially for a new version of tablet PC, an elevation in design or other respects will also add glamour in some way. That is why a white version iPhone 4 draws tremendous attention. This time, Haipad M7 is bestowed some alteration not in innards but about the materials that it is coated. Fully packed with plastics, Haipad M7 brings weight down to only 400g. Getting used to those hefty tablet PCs, you will feel much lighter to hold it in hand.

Compared with the its two predecessors, lighter version of Haipad M7 shows little alteration in specs. It stores an 1GHz Samsung S5PV210 CPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of flash … Continue

We hear words on Haipad M701R again not so long after the release of Haipad M708. Haipad M701R seems to be one tablet PC which gets upgraded most frequently. The elevation for M701R is noticeable and continuing, from its optimized android 2.1 version, the beta version of android 2.2 and finally we see an android 2.3-based Haipad M701R. This is actually quite rare, for most tablet PC designers would rather make other new attempts instead of placing focus solely on one particular tablet PC.

Haipad M701R is mainly noted for its infrared remote control, internal bluetooth and even voice call. Though powered by TCC8902 chips featuring video playback capability, original Haipad M701R did not excel in this key … Continue

As for major features, Haipad M708 surely reminds me of Dropad A8. Things become similar just because they are moving close to worse or better criteria. When it comes to tablet PCs, we are quite clear what those criteria are: the more potent, the better.

All in all, Haipad M708 shares many similarities with Dropad A8 that I reviewed shortly before. Based on a 1 GHz Telechips Cortex A8 TCC8803 CPU, Haipad also come with android 2.2, 7-inch capacitive touch panel with 1024*768 resolution, 512MB of DDR 2, 4GB of internal storage with microSD card expansion up to 32GB, a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, Wifi and 3G as network connection, with support of G-sensor … Continue
