It seems that Kindle Fire or Lenovo lepad will not be the cheapest tablet as Kapil Sibal, the country’s Minister for Human Resource Development, assured that the much anticipated $35 slate will be released on October 5th. Evidently, problems of find people who will be able to manufacture these devices at these price points and continue to develop them going forward have been solved yet. Though much appreciate with this tablet aiming to improve India’s educational system through technology, I’m do not enjoy the feeling of reading in the tablet personally and $35 is too low to ensure the quality.

7'' Rockchip android 2.1 tablet

It’s endearing than hilarious when I see two apps, typical of Chinese style, on the app menu of the 7 Inch Rockchip 2818 Android 2.1 Tablet. Mobile QQ comes the first. Just like people in America and European countries use MSN as the common chatting tool, the vast majority of Chinese use QQ. It is no exaggeration to say that the first thing for most Chinese netizens to do, when they turn on their PCs or laptops, is to log in QQ, a matter of habit now.

The second might be the poker game, Tractor. When it comes to card game, you might prefer Bridge, which is quite popular in many areas. Some … Continue

Acer 4.8 Android Smartphone

Acer is showing off their ace now, or trump card, not just one, but 4 at a time: a major march into android tablet market is now on the running. The 4.8 incher is something which can be called a hybrid standing precariously on the border of smartphone and tablet. This time, there is no intentional blurring but straightforward declare, in attempt to capture the group of customers who are looking forward to the debut of a real phonlet, a perfect mixture of phone and tab. This 4.8 android phonlet, with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, two cameras (eight megapixel rear one), 1024*480 resolution display, Bluetooth 3.0 and an HDMI output, looks impressive. However, this mixture still … Continue

ViewSonic android 2.2 tablet ViewPad 7

ViewSonic ViewPad 7

Advent Vega has been announced not long before a very similar android tablet, ViewSonic ViewPad 7, comes into our sight. Advent Vega can be considered high-end tablet among so many newly launched tablets, so it’s always good to see a similar android 2.2  tablet make an appearance. Though we are not sure whether ViewSonic, a display and screen maker rather than a smartphone or PC maker, can do a brilliant job, let’s welcome a new member joining into android tablets family. ViewPad, sounds like some apad or epad,  what a familiar name! I guess the maker’s mind was occupied a little by iPad, either a competitor or a master which can be learned from.
Here is … Continue

Nook Color E-book Reader

It’s hard to tell which is better, to buy one book and another or simply purchase an e-book reader. But the lifestyle of most people in our times can hardly allow a good habit of selecting books carefully and choosing to buy some in bookstores. E-book reader can meet people’s demand for convenience and quick. We are more likely to obtain information by browsing the webpage on our PCs, notebooks and tablets, free and fast. So the final outcome is the fast growing of e-reader tablet, while somehow  people tend to buy real book less and less.

Nook color launched by Barnes & Noble, though having some features of tablet, is highlighted more as … Continue

IPad VS Blackberry Playbook

IPad is definitely the benchmark of tablets, ushering a grand tablet era. The keyword “iPad” will invariably appear in almost all the related articles about the newly announced or launched tablets. For instance, tablets no better than iPad can be called iPad clone, such like Cherrypad America; tablets can match with iPad in some ways can be named as iPad competitors, iPad rival or iPad contender, such as Dell Streak, Samsung Galaxy, HP Slate and Advent Vega. How about tablets better than iPad? What can we call it? There is no specific name for it since up till now no tablet can really threat the unique place of iPad. If any, we may … Continue
